Chinese Cultural Program for children at Columbia University is a Saturday program. We teach children Mandarin on Saturdays between 9:30 am and 12 pm. We are looking for talented, creative and passionate Mandarin teachers who love working with children.

Mandarin Teacher

Qualifications and Responsibilities:

• Native Mandarin Chinese speaker with advanced English skills.

• Have prior teaching experience with children.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in education or related fields.

• Must be reliable, punctual, and energetic.

• Designing creative lesson plans and activities.

• Setting up the classroom.

• Documenting student learning progress.

• Communicating with parents.

Assistant Teacher

Qualifications and Responsibilities:

• Fluent in Mandarin Chinese with basic English skills.

• Experiences of working with children is a plus.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in education or related fields is a plus.

• Must be friendly, energetic and responsible.

• Working closely with the head teacher of the classroom.

• Supporting classroom and activities.

• Providing assistance to students who need more help in the classroom.
